Inspired by the renowned Coffee Cantata, this performance is a celebration of the creative energy that flows through every cup of coffee. We'll delve into the quirks and preferences of legendary composers, such as Ludwig van Beethoven, who famously prepared his espresso with precisely 60 coffee beans, making it an espresso experience unlike any other (modern-day espresso uses 70 beans for reference).
Our program will feature works from artists such as Johann Sebastian BachLudwig van Beethoven, Gustav Mahler and more. Each piece will be enriched with the flavors and aromas of coffee, as we explore how different composers enjoyed their coffee – Bach with Turkish coffee, Mahler with milk, and Beethoven with his meticulously ornate servings.
